We have been asked recently about the Gender field in our membership profiles, and the lack of options available for those who self-identify as something other than the mandatory options of "male" or "female" listed. Many websites and online forms now list free-form options such as "other," "nonbinary," or "prefer not to say" in order to be more inclusive to everyone. Will it be possible to include any additional options in the Gender field in our membership profiles in the near-future? When we began asking about this back in 2017, we were told the only way to make changes to the Gender field was to create a custom profile field and then import our members' current data, which seems like a complicated solution. Have there been any new updates in the works since then?

Hi Jacob, at this time, you would need to create a Custom Field to offer more "Gender" options. We have brought this up with our Product Team though and are researching some options on how this Field can be updated for clients who wish to offer more than Male/Female.

Hi - Paige Haskin, taking a scroll through the feed and saw your question. I would like to kindly second C. VanSolkema's question. A limit to the yester-year's standard of either male or female could easily insult members. If there is a way to create a third category for other, it is not the most inclusive, but it makes a large impact.

If changing the field to male/female/other can be changed faster, the control freak in me would thank you all.
